This item is in Mint Condition. These Game Warden models are getting very hard to find in Collector Condition. This is a very nice one. Some light tarnish to the brass bolsters on one side from sitting in the box. The foam in the lid causes some tarnishing to the brass over time. It will need some polish. The Blades are beautiful. It is a complete knife with Box, Foam, Matching Warranty Card Sharpening instructions, and White Outer Shipping Sleeve.
A note about the last photo. The Game Warden and Prince Models had a lock release to close the blade. This is the case most of the time. I have shown 3 examples in the photo where the production of the double-blade models had lock releases on both blades, on only one blade, or no lock release at all. I don’t know the reasoning behind this. It seems the early production knives had both locks. In this case, the lock release is for Both blades. The indented lock is an indication that the blade will not lock when open.
AN UPDATE
According to my friend and former CEO of Puma, some countries like Belgium, Luxemburg, and France did not allow locked blades so they made the knives without locks. Also for some customers, it was impossible to press both lockbars to release the lock so they produced different versions of the models.
