circa 1930s
This item is in Near Mint Condition. First developed in the 1700s when transportation was primarily by horse or horse-drawn carriage. These were carried by passengers and coachmen alike for eating meals along the way. The Fork is carried inside the sheath and is screwed into the sheath when needed. It is also known as a Hobo knife. Easy to carry, easy to clean. A convenience back then to have one. I can just guess that this one is from the 1930s. It could be earlier or later. It is only seldom seen and makes a really interesting piece to have in a collection. It is in beautiful condition.
